We talk a lot about health, living a healthier lifestyle, eating better, watching our weight and all that, but one area we all need to remember is our dental health. The Husband finally went to the dentist yesterday after putting it off for YEARS and yep, thank goodness we have some dental insurance since they’ll be covering a big part of the over $20,000 worth of dental work. And if you want strippers or a foot massage to go along with that, it'll cost you extra.
He needs to have his wisdom teeth pulled, root canals, crowns, 2 permanent bridges, this’s and that’s and basically a new mouth put in. You would think that his mouth look something like
this but in reality this is The Husband.
So please folks, if you don’t already, please go see your dentist since we’ll all be wanting to have big gorgeous smiles to go along with our pretty little bodies.

Oh yes. Been there, done that. 8 years without dental insurance...
then got insurance. Three years, 5 root canals, 20 fillings later, I finally have a mouth that looks and feels normal.
DO NOT PUT IT OFF if you can possibly avoid it!!
This was a great public service announcement. When I was in the dental field, I always had job security. Way too many people ignore the health of their mouth.
tj
I just went this week! :D
That's a lot of money!
ok
Im running late by a month due to life and toddler illness but reading this has made me realize how QUICKLY a month CAN become a year!
So very true. I have my every six month check up. Been where your husband is. Bless his heart. He still has a nice smile though. Good luck with all the dental work, and thank goodness for insurance. It took me years to pay for it.
That is such a bummer. My Scottish husband has some major work that needs to be done too. I'm bugging him every day about making an appointment and promising him he doesn't have to have it all done at once! I'm so glad I went yesterday. They said another couple months and I would have had to have ROOT SCALING. Just the thought of that makes me want to barf.
Yes! Take care of those teeth! :)
Oh no! That's so unfortunate, I hope that he's not in much pain... thank you for the reminder.
