An Observation

As I lose weight, other people seem to be getting bigger. I'm not sure if it's just my perspective or if they truly are gaining.

Is this happening to you too?

I haven't noticed it yet but I probably have not lost enough weight. I think I have thought that before on previous diet attempts.

Either our body image is all relative, and it is just a visual illusion as we get smaller .... or there is karma in the world and we shed our unwanted pounds elsewhere, giving us a small wry smile of satisfaction, especially if it is selfish bitchy skinny minnies who deserve a bit of bad karma who start putting on!

Ha!

(Now who's the bitch here? Me for posting what everyone else is thinking?)

I think so!! I don't know if it's just bitchiness or what ;) But i also find myself looking in other peoples grocery carts and critiquing them. And cheering on anyone else even trying to get more physical!! I'm not sure it's healthy but sometimes it's fun.

That is a REALLY interesting observation. Goes to show how much our perspectives can change as we ourselves change.

Since I've started being healthier and all, I've started to really notice just how beautiful people are. Now I appreciate the effort that people take every day to care for their bodies. I could watch people all day long in simple fascination with how everyone looks.

If I had any ability whatsoever in drawing, I think I would draw people all day long. I'd love to do that.

This really happens to me a lot. As my "outline" changes, I have a really hard time navigating and judging the size of things around me. This can extend as broadly as the size of a car or a space in traffic (dangerous!) to trying to fit the leftovers into the appropriate container. My spatial sense gets all off. It does even out eventually, though.

I am not sure, but I sure do take notice of people more!! The other day I say a girl with a denim jean skirt on that barely covered her bottom and she was a BIG girl, poor thing couldn't even sit in the chair with out showing her Virginia. Made me think she obviously did not have a care in the world.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!!
