Getting Back

I ate like crap while on vacation. Now, I feel like crap. I feel big, bloated and sluggish. It’s amazing how one week of eating copious amounts of hot dogs, hamburgers, miscellaneous fried food and pizza had really made a change in my mental and physical state of being.

It was super fun while it lasted, but I’m ready to get back to my routines. I’m ready to eat healthy and light. I’m ready to go back to no sugars and no sodas. And I’m ready to feel like me again.

Well done for getting back to normal! The best part is that "normal" is now healthy...

Your daughter is beautiful - Sounds like your vacation was wonderful and it's always nice when vacations put life into perspective and give us a renewed sense of diet purpose!

Well said Hanlie, that's just what I was thinking - that it's great you've set yourself a whole new set of standards.

I agree well done! :) It's amazing how after a while "junk" makes you realize how icky it actually makes you feel. It's amazing how hungry you end up after eating those kinds of foods too. So, Here's to getting back to normal and enjoying it! :)

SO GREAT that you are ready to get back to your routine.

it can take me a few days but even the junk starts to get old...mainly in that it makes me tired, slow and unable to keep up with the Toddler.

Glad you're back. Too much of a good thing - junk food and princesses - is not always a good thing for long.

Kudos for getting right back to 'normal'. I failed in that regard at the end of my vacation...and it spiralled out of control!

I think food hangovers are worse than alcohol hangovers :)

this is so odd but hearing you talk about all the "bad stuff" actually made me feel sick and bloated ;)

I'm glad you all had fun!

It's great how we long for "normal" after a longer-term splurge such as a vacation. Good for you for getting back to business!

It's important to have those kinds of weeks sometimes just so we can remember how much we value the healthy norm.

PS that picture of the Little Miss is so so cute!!

Yes, vacations are wonderful, but I'm always happy to come back home & sleep in my own bed. :)
