I suppose it’s worth the effort, but I do know why roses seem like they are for retired people with lots of time on their hands.

Roses are a Hassle But...
When we first moved into our home, nearly three years ago, I was so thrilled there was a rose garden with mature plants which were producing beautiful roses. Little did I know how much time I would spend maintaining those 20 plants. It seems as though I am constantly cutting flowers which are past their bloom, feeding the plants, weeding around them, pruning, spraying and what not. It kinda makes me crazy, but looky what I picked from my garden this morning...
I suppose it’s worth the effort, but I do know why roses seem like they are for retired people with lots of time on their hands.

Beautiful! I hope they smell as nice as they look.
The house I moved into 4 years ago has moss and invasive ivy everywhere - and I don't have to spend a minute on it - but of course the payoff isn't the same either.
Oh my ~ those are beautiful! Great job on keeping the plants healthy. I don't have a green thumb, at all, so I envy that you can produce such lovely results!
Those look great! I love roses, but probably would kill them!
I do have tulip leaves coming up in my backyard, but they haven't bloomed yet, still too cold here in Chicago, I guess!
But, its so nice to have fresh flowers in your house!
The roses may be work, but they are pretty! The other nice thing...they are work...but it keeps you moving and that is better than sitting on your butt!!!!
Gorgeous!
WOW! Those are beautiful.
My father loved roses and spent many, many hours tending his garden. I miss that!
Those are beautiful! I had rose bushes before when I was in high school. Sometimes I felt like an old lady but they were so beautiful that I didn't care!
WOW.....those are totally beautiful!!!
I do pretty good growing food, but no where near that kind of result with roses!
Gorgeous!
Beautiful! I love fresh flowers, but I have to buy them weekly. Thanks for sharing that lovely photo!
Those are gorgeous. I wish I had the patience to plant and tend to a rose garden. Only thing I have managed to keep alive is my fresh basil plant!
Gorgeous! I love roses.
Gorgeous! There's nothing more beautiful than fresh roses from your garden. They probably SMELL TOO don't they? The roses in the stores these days don't smell because they've been 'engineered'.
So pretty! You're doing a nice job taking care of these beautiful flowers on your property.
That's a beautiful bouquet!
