Mama vs The Little Miss

Breathe…

Inhale…

Exhale…

Love…

Love…

Love…

I thought my head was going to explode this morning. If I heard “no Mama, I don’t want to” one more time, it just might have. It was a super crazy morning for both of us, not at all a fun morning and I almost lost it. It’s funny thing to love someone so much it hurts, but also be so incredibly infuriated by them you just want to scream, or worse. I’m not a patient person which can make for a very toxic and bad dynamic between the two of us. But I just have to breathe… inhale, exhale and love my way through it.

I'll have to remember that ;)

I think one of the biggest lessons I've ever learned is that we can love someone very much and still occasionally be irritated and frustrated by them. It's okay!

I call that testing my spirit. My spirit flew the coupe on many occations, and so did my little miss. Breathing is good, just never hold your breath, it doesn't help for anything except passing out. LOL Gotta love em though, they are becoming their own person, and it's so amazing to be a part of.

ahhh it can be hard.. lol I always get tickled when I see parents posting naked baby shots... because one day .. your child is going to get you for that.. I always tell my friends that post their kids bath pictures.. that some day in the near future mommy is going to get it for posting that picture LOL.. that was adorable!...Kids are challenging.. but sometimes you just have to step back and respect them for who they are .. and challenging you for their indepence .. comes with the package I guess.

Yes.

I remember those days so well. Know that you both will get through them. Hang in there!

I can imagine how tough it must be at times with kids. You love them but they can make you crazy at times. Hope things get better.

Thanks for a mothers point of view on my blog as well.

Oh boy - do I know what you're talking about!! It's so hard to remember that they're not fully formed yet and weren't put on this earth specifically to drive you crazy. Days like this seem to last forever and my heart goes out to you. You'll get through it. I'm very impatient too and it's a real struggle. It's a wonder the human race endures!

i feel that way too. i wish i had more patience. sometimes when the anger all goes away i look back and i feel so silly for getting angry over something so trivial! Patience!!!! I need to work on it!

sounds like my day too! It's nice to know I am not alone. Hang in there and thanks for the reminder to just breathe!

Oh, yeah! And ours are 22 and 24, so I have lots of practice by now. Thank heavens and yes, thank you for the reminder. We are in kind of a rough patch here too.
