I know when I plan in advance I tend to better, in fact much better, with my eating for the week. It’s also nice to have a plan so when I go to the market, I know what I’m getting and can stay focused and not buy food that will sit and rot in the fridge. So, here’s the menu for the week.
Monday: Dinner at my mom’s house
Tuesday: The Husband is working late so The Little Miss and I are going out for sushi. There’s a Japanese restaurant in town that has all the sushi ½ off from 5p-6p which then make this outing someone affordable. The Little Miss will eat edamame, rice and tofu, while I feast on my favorites.
Wednesday: Orzo with grilled chicken, fresh garden tomatoes, thyme, and feta cheese
Thursday: Dad’s coming over for dinner so we’ll cook one of his favorites, grilled salmon. From my garden we’ll pick lettuce and tomatoes for a salad and pick fresh green beans which I’ll steam and add a bit olive oil.
Friday: Pasta with homemade pesto, shrimp, tomatoes and shaved parmesan cheese. Served with squash from the garden.
Saturday: BBQ day… Buffalo burgers (from Trader Joes), watermelon, and green salad
Sunday: Homemade pizza night.
What’s on the menu at your house?

I'm all about the planning! I don't usually allocate the meals I want to make for the week to specific days, but we are far enough into the week that I have a fair idea.
Tonight we had roasted tomato pasta.
Tomorrow night will be salad with roasted Brussels Sprouts.
Wednesday night we'll have a spicy lentil stew.
Thursday night will be salad again.
Friday night will be soup.
Saturday I shop and a new week starts.
Your week's meals sound delicious too!
Salad tonight, probably my faux mcmuffin for dinner tomorrow (crazy afternoon/evening), salad Wednesday, don't know Thursday (working 9 - 7, then a meeting until 9pm), and we may try a hamburger on Friday - see if my gallbladder-less system can handle it!
Your meals (except for the seafood) sound much better than mine!
Ever since I lost all my weight (150 lbs) I know that planning is the key to success for me!
Sunday - Vegetarian Lasagne
Monday - Brown Rice/Veggie Wraps
Tuesday - Chicken Pot Pie (low fat)
Wednesday - Baked Veggie Spaghetti
Thursday - Fricase' de Pollo
Friday - Homemade pizza
Thanks for sharing your menus for the week!
Yum!! This is a great idea-I think I'll throw a post up.
I've never tried sushi....I'mma skeered! Maybe one day ;)
I always plan both lunches and dinners - plan on Saturday, buy on Sunday!
Sunday dinner: lemon chicken
Monday: grill out (turkey burger for me)
Tuesday: low-fat ziti
Wednesday: crab cakes
Thursday: grill out again (salmon)
Friday: we usually go out or order in
Saturday: grill out again (tilapia burger!)
Happy eats!
Planning does make it much easier to stay on track. Your menu sounds much tastier then mine. What time is dinner? :-)
everything sounds yummy... I made a great zuchini and veggie lasagna last night.. will be my lunch for the next few days... maybe dinner too..
Awesome planning. It always helps me to plan ahead.
Sounds great!
Last night a boy took me out for alligator potstickers, flatbread with dip, and shrimp on skewers (Australian restaurants are so tasty!) Tonight I had pasta with veggies/olive oil/asiago cheese. Tomorrow I think will be baby potatoes and grilled chicken. The rest of the week is up in the air :)
