Wide Open Spaces

Christmas had come and gone. Santa came and left. The Little Miss cleaned up again and luckily we didn’t get as much crap this year. Last year was filled with so much Dora stuff I thought my head was going to explode or at the very least my eyeballs were going to start bleeding. This year she got a lot of dress up clothes, games, books and pretty useful stuff.

Adding more things into our house made me think, many times over the past few days what it would be like to be in a house where you had enough storage for everything. Nice and tidy. A place for everything. We would drive past big homes and I would think to myself, I bet they have a place to put their stuff away. They probably even have cupboards that are empty and heck they probably even have extra rooms.

But then I was thinking, it’s not really the size of the house, it’s the amount of crap we have in ours. If I got rid of all the things we don’t use and all the things we have extra of, we’d have plenty of space. Craigslist and ebay, here I come.

If anyone needs anything let me know. And The Husband better stay out of my way.

I love to purge and clean out things from my house. Husband and I have already filled our new house and I often wonder what it will be like with kiddos.

I'm with you. I need to declutter!

Hmmm...I could use a treadmill - got a spare one lying around? ;)

I know what you mean about clutter - it always gets to me after Christmas, between the decorations still up and all the extra new stuff. It is a good time to purge - Goodwill loves me, I swear!

Ohhh, to have more room would be wonderful, wouldn't it? We have way too much stuff as well, but even if we pared it down, living in a house that's under 900 square feet, there would never be enough room I fear. Also, we have a bad habit of garage saling. And if we find a good deal on something, we just have to get it!
Good luck on your decluttering!

Oh yes - clutter! Getting rid of old stuff makes me feel SO much better. And don't kid yourself about bigger houses - the kind I've been in have no empty spaces, Remember, nature abhors a vacuum.

You might get a good price for the husband. Keep us posted.

Time for me to declutter too. Of course, I got to take the Christmas tree down first!

Trust me, a larger living space doesn't work. One just accumulates more clutter to fill it. The key is regular uncluttering, something which I am SO due for, LOL!

Keep what you use or love... get along without the rest.

Here's to de-cluttering in the New Year!

I LOVE de-cluttering. It's so refreshing to get rid of a bunch of stuff we don't need! Good luck.
