Someone Lost Some Weight

Someone in my house has lost a lot of weight the past few days, and it isn’t me. The Little Miss has been sick since Wednesday and basically hasn’t eaten squat. She’s lost about 2 pound or about 8% of her body weight.

My life has been filled with hours of The Little Miss on the couch watching copious amount television, being brainwashed by Disney Princesses (There’s a My Dislike for Disney post in me somewhere) and me trying to find something she might want to eat. I keep offering her up all of her favorites, but there’s nothing she’ll have more than a bite of. I know she’ll eat when she’s up to it, but when she’s already on the tiny peanut side, it’s hard to watch her get even skinnier right before my eyes.

To add my I’ve-been-stuck-in-my-house-for-days worse, is it’s been raining off and on and cold here. And when I say cold, I mean cold for us ultra thin-skinned Southern California peeps. Between watching over The Little Miss and the weather situation, I haven’t had a chance to get out to exercise much. It makes me realize how much harder it must be, for those who live in cold weather climates to get out and exercise. You really have an added burden and kudos to you for doing it.

I hope things improve for you and TLM soon. Working up a sweat over Disney might be a good substitution for actual exercise. I'm with you on that issue, for sure.

I hope your daughter feels better soon. It is so hard to watch them feel so sick but not be able to do anything about it.

I'm with you on respect for our neighbors to the north relative to weather and exercise. Not to mention, they also have that stinkin' humidity in the summer to deal with. It's freezing (for me) today. I had hoped for a walk outside after work, but think I'm going to have to opt for the gym. Hope TLM is up and about and eating soon!

Aww poor Little Miss! I hope she's feeling better soon.

It really, really sucks to deal with cold weather. The problem for us right now is that it warmed up from -30 C to about -5 C, so everything started to melt and now its all ICE. So even though its warm out its nearly impossible to walk! Even buses aren't running. I think any of us who live in the north are just crazy :)

I sometimes wish that the tv was never invented. (Until I want to watch something) Hope the weather breaks and TLM is better by the weekend. I know how hard it is to be stuck inside.
