Game ON!

I’ve totally been stalled in the weight loss arena. I think the main reason my motivation is lacking is because I’m at a place now that I haven’t been to in years. I’m lighter than when I got knocked up with The Little Miss and probably about the same size or smaller then when I got married to The Husband.

Yes, of course, I’d like to lose more, firm up and be more “in shape,” but overall I’m pleased with where I’m at right now. But, the game is on. The Husband and I are in competition. We’ve made a bet, first person to lose 10 pounds “wins.” We haven’t determined the prize, but I think it’s going to be more about bragging rights. Although I still do covet this. I have no idea what The Husband might want although I do find him fondling my iphone. Speaking of which did you know your iphone can be turned into an imoan? Now that’s one more reason I’m going to love my iphone even more.

Oh yeah, where was I? That’s right, the competition. The Husband is one of those people that can tweak one little thing in his routine and boom, the weight magically disappears. So, I’m in for some tough competition, but bring it on. I’m game and this might just be what I need to get me jump started again.

I always compete with the husband but never win! :) I joke that he can lose a pound walking to the mailbox. It's great motivation though and good luck!!! Girls rule.

You should only have to lose 5 pounds to his 10...husbands lose weight at a much faster weight than their wives!

Yum, homemade paninis!

my hubby jumped on board this week too. He called Jillian a bitch while doing the shred yesterday ;) I have about 60 more lbs to go.....he realistically only needs to lose about 25---------GAME ON!! He is challenged by late night eating. I told him if he just gave that up..he's lose the weight in no time but we'll see :)

Good luck to you!

My husband's little pot belly versus my all over fat suit? I wouldn't take that bet but good luck with yours. Maybe get that grill a little early and fry him up a little lardburger or two.

My husband is one of those people too! He wasn't even TRYING to lose weight and dropped 50 lbs. by not drinking Mountain Dew anymore (while I'm killing myself and dropped only 11.) LOL What do you do?

Sounds like a great idea. I hope it gives you that extra boost.

Great motivation - good luck with everything! My hubs is the same way - he can just change one small thing (switch from 3 cokes to 2, for example) and lose weight. Sometimes it's just not fair.

Oh - and also, my blog address has changed. It's now destinationathlete.wordpress.com if you'd like to come along and follow me! :o)

Not sure how I feel about that griddle- it looks super nice but is it disloyal to my George Foreman to think those thoughts? ;)

Healthy competition is fun! Go go go!

I'm cheering you on from the sidelines. Since I'm also stalled and don't have a husband to compete with, maybe I'll give myself a prize of an iPhone after X number of pounds. Great idea. (I like the grill too.)

go YOU!!

Men may lose more easily BUT we have your back--and the hubby soooo doesnt have that :)

I did the competition once and then got pissed off the husband at ice cream almost nightly (sure, portion controlled but STILL) and lost more.

Ooooh I love a bit of healthy competition! Good luck :-)

I remember when my dad got told to lose weight, he just changed a couple of things and before you knew it his trousers were hanging off his backside and he didn't even notice. Now hubby, on the other hand, he's got the same deepfelt love for chocolate I have plus a weakness for beer so I think I'd win that one hands down.

Bring on the grill - we'll all behind you, you can do it.

I think I know what you mean. I was stalled for a long time at a size that just barely allowed me to shop at regular stores and normalized my blood pressure. It was like "great, that's good enough!"

I actually bought the 4-in-1 Griddler a couple weeks ago. I couldn't stand cleaning the Foreman I had because the plates didn't come off. The Griddler also makes yummy panini! Hope you win.
