My Friday Night

We met about 5 years ago. In that 5 years, both he and I got married, to different people. I saw him on Friday. Sitting across from each other, I had that feeling. He leaned in. He cupped his hand around the back of my neck. Butterflies. We kissed, for the first time ever. We quickly released from each other and had that startled look on our faces, franticly looking around the room to see if anyone saw. We both knew we shouldn’t have done what we did and were afraid of getting caught.

This happens to me occasionally. I dream about people I know in real life. We hook up to some degree and in my dreams I know it’s wrong and am afraid of The Husband finding out. Sometimes it is with people I think that if my situation was different we’d get together. But, it’s rather creepy when it’s someone I have no attraction to in my waking hours. I’m always embarrassed to see them after one of my dreams, thinking they might know for some reason.

Does stuff like this ever happen to you?

Just an occasional dream about an ex, none with just people I know. But then I very seldom even remember my dreams.

Wow! What an awesome moment. I haven't had a good kiss in a while, sounds good. Oh, its a dream, lol. Still sounded good.
Doesn't happen to me much, but on occasion.

Will have the occasional ex dream but never about a neighbor or acquaintance. Must agree with you about the creepiness factor.

Definitely have the ex dream every once in a while, and usually ones that still miss (to one degree or another!). I know I'm meant to be with the Hubs - so even dreaming, I wake up feeling guilty.

Dreams can't be controlled! I sometimes have them about people I normally wouldn't be attracted to. I figure as long as nothing comes of it in real life, it's all good :)

Absolutely! In my dreams I've had attractions to the strangest people who I wouldn't look at twice in real life. It used to perplex me, but these days I don't worry about it... Dreams are like stories.

Yes! Especially before I got married, I always joked about this guy named Josh who always had a crush on me and was my "back-up" guy. Through my entire 9 month engagement I dreamed of him almost nightly-to the point that I was kind of freaked out maybe I was marrying the wrong guy.
